  1. Hi Dara, I had the same sense of excitement when the goldfinches arrived in our garden in London a few weeks ago. They are stunning. They came in a pair for a few days. I haven’t seen much of them lately, so I am going to invest in some Nyger seeds as a way of luring them back. We are getting several blue tits, Black tits, robins, sparrows and blackbirds come to the bird feeder or the ground beneath it… and not to mention too many horrid grey squirrels. We have a pair of herons in our local park, one of which has been building a giant nest on a willow tree. I have a video of it and get so much joy from watching it over and over again.
